HDDRIVER configuration export

Post by uweseimet »

Sometimes I receive a support request which requires details on the respective HDDRIVER configuration. In cases like this, or just to get a quick overview on all settings, you can export the HDDRIVER configuration with "File->Export Configuration" ("Datei->Konfiguration exportierten" in the German UI).
The exported data are saved to a text file (English or German, depending on the HDDRUTIL/TOS language setting) and typically look like this:
Cache for FAT in Sectors: 50
Cache for Data in Sectors: 50
Additional Folders: 100
Additional Cookie Jar Entries: 0
Standard Boot Drive: C
Verify: off
Restart after Reset: off
Unlock after Reset: off
Manage Multimedia Drives: off
Maximum Sector Size: 2048
Drive IDs to reserve: 0
Background Transfer (MagiCAtari): on
Boot Drive by SCSI ID: off
SCSI Reset when Booting: off
SCSI Processor Device: on
SCSI ID: 7
Accelerated Mode: off
Blitter Support: on
IDE 0 (Master Port 0): on
IDE 1 (Slave Port 0): on
IDE 2 (Master Port 1): off
IDE 3 (Slave Port 1): off
IDE 4 (Master Port 2): off
IDE 5 (Slave Port 2): off
IDE 6 (Master Port 3): off
IDE 7 (Slave Port 3): off
Preserve Existing Drives: on
Manage Linux and Minix Partitions: off
Map unknown GUID types to 'RAW' type: off
Protect Root and Boot Sectors: off
Write-Protected Partitions: CDF
User-defined Partition Type: USR
Active Devices and their Order:
02.00, LUN List: 0
02.01, LUN List: 0
01.00, LUN List: 0,4.5
00.00, LUN List: 0
Note that the on/off information for IDE devices refers to whether accelerated mode is enabled for these devices, not to whether the IDs of these devices are enabled. The latter is part of the "Active Devices and their Order" list.
